Summary: Temporary food service permits are required whenever a university organization intends to serve food on the campus. A permit application may be obtained online at http://www.ehs.ucla.edu/pub/TFF%20AppCert.pdf Once the form is completed and signed by a CSP advisor, contact Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) at least five days prior to the event for a permit.

In order to prevent the possible transmission of food related illnesses as a result of improper preparation or handling of foods,
food must be handled in a hygienic manner at all times, keep stored food at the stand to a minimum, prepare only what you can immediately cook. Maintain proper food temperatures for storage and serving, keep foods covered, use clean and proper serving utensils, do not allow people who are sick to work with or distribute food.

Failure to comply with food safety procedures will result in an immediate revocation of the food permit and could jeopardize future permit approval.
